On November 6, 2025, the Iraqi-Italian Business Council (IIBC) met with representatives of SIGEP Exhibition, one of Italy’s leading international exhibitions for the food, confectionery, and hospitality sectors, with the support and coordination of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The meeting focused on preparations for signing a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate Iraq’s participation in the upcoming edition of SIGEP – Rimini, including coordinating the participation of approximately 10 Iraqi companies. This initiative aims to enhance trade exchange and build effective partnerships with leading Italian companies.
